Month: January 2018
Zelle Records will again have a wee stand at the Vinyl & Music Festival, at the Ottakringer brewery, Vienna, 3 and 4 March 2018. We’ll also be presenting records from CocoMuse Releases and Fishrider. The big question is, should I bring Ngaroma, my daughter’s cuddle kiwi?

Thanks for that great show packed with great music, Michael. We want more, please!
Only a few more days to go until the final of Robbie Rocks 2018! The finalists in both the youth and the open category of Dunedin’s annual Robert Burns music competition organised by Toitu will give a live performance in the upper Octagon on 21 January from 2pm. Among the open category finalists: darryl baser! Congratulations! Let’s keep fingers crossed.
The vinyl release of Cut will again be a cooperation of Zelle Records, Andrew Maitai‘s Powertool Records in Auckland and Bill Direen‘s own label, South Indies. The three labels are not teaming up for the first time to release a Bilders album on vinyl. Last year, they put out Chrysanthemum Storm, to much critical and popular acclaim.
Kia ora, Zelle whanau!
And our next project iiiiiiiiis …
That’s right: 1994 Bilders album Cut, another criminally overlooked gem from Bill Direen! As I write this I’m listening to the new mix. It sounds fantastic! You’re in for a real treat.
Hei kona mai,
